Our 9 Hole Course is perfect for practice and play!
The staff at Spencer T. Olin Golf Course strive to create an environment that is welcoming to new golfers. This wonderful game holds a life-time of enjoyment, friendship, and memories for those who choose to play. Additionally, golf teaches a variety of important like skills including patience, discipline, and personal communication skills. Perhaps most importantly, golf operates by a built-in code of ethics, based around honesty and integrity, to live by both on and off the course. Many professional and amateur golfers, especially those who started at an early age, can attest to the positive aspects of what they have learned from a childhood spent on the golf course.
The Spencer T. Olin Learning Center:
Our 9-hole course features seven par 3’s, one par 4, and one par 5 – totaling 1,795 yards. Length of holes range from 75 yards to 407 yards from the forward tees and 130 yards to 518 yards from the back tees. The average length of our seven par 3’s is 121 yards from the middle tees. The layout of the course and it’s non-intimidating environment makes it the perfect place to learn the game of golf, get in a quick 9, or simply to tighten up your game.
The Learning Center also has many of the same features as our championship course, such as Zoysia fairways and approaches, Bentgrass greens, and Bluerye Fescue rough and even sand traps. One of the best features of the course is that it was designed as a walking course.
Pace of play at the Learning Center averages 1 hour and 30 minutes.
